9/29/09 I found a neat site to help replace Bills Retro World, which was taken down, JukeboxCruiser.

6/11/09 Tony Perrino provided a link to this WONDERFUL video of the Top-30 Best Rock Songs of the 50s.

6/09/09 Here, from both Joyce, and Tony Perrino. you can find Juke Box Music in the right margin.

I got to talking with Jerry Williams about an old Juke Box I restored, and thought

some of you might be interested in seeing it.  It's a '61 AMI Continental.

It holds 100 45rpm, or 7" 33 1/3rpm, and plays both sides, so is called a '200 Select'.

I bought it in '95, and restored it over a 3 week period.

I left the '75 Texas sticker on the dome; the last time it was licensed to play in a bar.

As it looked in my den in San Antonio, TX (the fur football was a joke :-) - The back open; not mine, but the same kind.

Pick a song from the titleboard, then select a letter A-K (there's no 'I'), and a number 1-20 (11-20 not shown)

Here's a video I did for Jerry, of it playing Brenda Lee singing 'One Step At A Time', her first hit, at age 12.  Click it.

Please note it was shot with my camera, so it ain't da best, and the audio kinda sucks; also, please excuse the shaky hands.

I also have a Seeburg Library Unit, also a '200 Select', that the bartender would play on the back bar.

You can also see the Wallbox that matches the AMI, and that RCA 45rpm plug-in we all had.

Customers would select a song from this book, and the bartender would flip the switches to make it play.

3/29/09 - A great link to 50's Music, and more, from Tony Perrino.
